I study chemical, physical, geological, and human effects on coastal fishery species.
- The reproductive output capability of Southeast ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ forage species, including their response to climate change, and implications for seafood security. Currently this project focuses on the novel persistence of the nearshore squid, Doryteuthis opalescens. Other species of interest for future study include Pacific herring, Clupea pallasii, and the armhook squid, Berryteuthis magister.
- Impacts of climate change on the hydrology of nearshore ecosystems, Southeast ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ. Included in this study are Endicott Arm and Auke Bay. Other areas of interest include Taku Inlet and Prince of Wales.
