Ms. Sandra Boatwright
Proposals and Publications Office Manager, Emeritus
WHEREAS Ms. Sandra Boatwright has served the University of ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ Fairbanks with distinction in proposal preparation and technical editing from 1993 to 2023; and
WHEREAS Ms. Boatwright has helped hundreds of researchers submit hundreds of proposals while at the College of Engineering and Mines and Institute of Northern Engineering; and she has built a highly effective, client-focused, outcomes-driven and service-oriented proposal unit; and
WHEREAS Ms. Boatwright has worked tirelessly under constant deadlines so that every research proposal reflects ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ in the best light — not only by ensuring that budgets and other documents are accurate but also by strengthening the proposal text; and
WHEREAS senior faculty members have seen Ms. Boatwright as an active partner in the research team, describing her as a pillar of support who delivers patient attention in the pursuit of funding; and she has mentored many new faculty members in proposal preparation; and
WHEREAS Ms. Boatwright received the Chancellor’s Cornerstone Award in 2018, recognizing her exceptional skills;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the University of ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ Fairbanks expresses its deep appreciation to Ms. Sandra Boatwright for her extensive contributions to the state of ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ and to the university; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the University of ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ Fairbanks, in further recognition of the invaluable services rendered by Ms. Boatwright and as evidence of the university’s desire that her identification with the university be maintained, hereby salutes the appointment of Ms. Sandra Boatwright as proposals and publications office manager, emeritus; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be appropriately engrossed and signed by the chancellor of the University of ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ Fairbanks as further evidence of the esteem and respect in which he holds Ms. Sandra Boatwright, and conveyed to Ms. Boatwright on this sixth day of May, 2023.
