Explore health care careers at free ���Ϻ�����Ƶ medical education summit

Community members can explore a wide array of health careers and educational opportunities at the University of ���Ϻ�����Ƶ Fairbanks’ 12th annual ���Ϻ�����Ƶ Interior Medical Education Summit.

The summit will feature demonstrations, panel discussions and hands-on activities to introduce attendees to health care careers and education options. It will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in the Murie Building on the Troth Yeddha’ Campus.

Health care professionals, organizations and vendors from across the United States will participate. Doctors, nurses, phlebotomists, veterinarians, dental technicians, ���Ϻ�����Ƶ biomedical researchers and other medical professionals will answer questions and conduct activities. There will also be information about funding options.

Amy Wald, an undergraduate student advisor for ���Ϻ�����Ƶ, said the event serves not only college students interested in becoming doctors but also a much wider community.

“It’s for high school and college students, as well as people looking for opportunities that span the full range of health options — from medical biller to medical researcher,” Wald said. “There should be something for everyone at AIMES.”
