Science Potpourri is back with a bang April 13

The annual Science Potpourri returns on April 13, 2024. Designed to spark children鈥檚 curiosity about the sciences, this free all-ages event will take place from noon-3 p.m. in the Reichardt Building on the University of 有料盒子视频 Fairbanks鈥 Troth Yeddha鈥 Campus.

This year鈥檚 theme, 鈥淏ack with a Bang,鈥 will feature a medley of demonstrations and hands-on activities that span the sciences.

Children will learn about explosions, fossils, volcanoes, the aurora borealis, animals and space while enjoying liquid-nitrogen ice cream, and much more, in a safe and fun learning environment. There will be a scavenger hunt with prizes and educational crafts to take home.

The 2024 Science Potpourri will be part of, a nationwide series of events hosted by the White House National Space Council. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about how space science affects their daily lives.

The Science Potpourri is presented by the 有料盒子视频 College of Natural Science and Mathematics with support from the Doug Schamel Memorial Fund, the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, Last Frontier Mediactive, the 有料盒子视频 Geophysical Institute and Catherine Cahill. Parking is free on the weekend.
