Short welcome videos for convocation

Convocation is coming up on Sept. 30, and Chancellor White would like to include short videos of some of the unique locations that are such an important part of the ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ community. 

Grab a video camera or smartphone, and gather an enthusiastic group of staff, faculty and students to record the following message by Friday, Sept. 17. 

Script:

Hello from ____(unit name, location). 

We are ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ.

Tips for recording great video 

  • Record video at a high resolution — best at (1080p HD) but no lower than 720.
  • Shoot video horizontally in a well-lit location and be mindful of the background and light; avoid bright sunlight.
  • Shoot video in a relatively quiet location and avoid windy locations, if possible.
  • Brace camera/phone to limit camera shaking.
  • Use a microphone if possible.
  • Leave a little padding at the beginning and at the end.
  • Smile and have fun!
