Climate adaptation training brings tribal communities together

Today is Veterans Day. Veterans are essential to what we have been and are essential to what we will be. This day of honor and recognition is about taking a moment to feel and express gratitude as we contemplate this generous gift of service. This specific date is rooted in the end of the First World War. Originally known as Armistice Day, the date was chosen to commemorate the armistice agreement which ended the First World War effective on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Just as this day is rooted in the end of that historic conflict, ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ's origins are tied to its beginning.

The University of ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ Foundation Board of Directors is accepting nominations for the 2023 Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence. The prize, which includes a $20,000 award, is presented to an individual who demonstrates excellence in support of the University of ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ. Any UA student, faculty, staff, alumni or volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the mission of the University of ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ system, UAA, ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ, or UAS is eligible to be nominated.

Design contest for student artwork extended to Dec. 6

All ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ students are invited to submit original artwork which will be featured on a printed banner in the N terminal of the airport. The chosen artist will receive a $1,000 tuition award.

Donuts, coffee and other beverages will be provided. Experts from many student services departments will be available to chat about any questions you have, help you get ready for the spring semester, schedule appointments with your academic advisor if you haven't already, and get your courses certified for military or veteran benefits.
