Friday Focus: We have the expertise

    September 29, 2023

At the beginning of each new semester, I often introduce myself and explain the role of the chancellor to new students, faculty, and staff who recently joined ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ. At these events, I share that a large part of my job is working with all of our administrators, faculty, staff and students to do everything we can to execute our mission and live our vision: excellence through transformative experiences. Having such an inspiring purpose is one of the reasons I am so passionate about ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ. Across the spectrum of people I meet, I am often surprised how many aren't aware of how special ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ is. For instance, did you know we are currently in the top 7% of universities in the nation for research? ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ is a distinct university with strengths and expertise that should have ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ faculty, staff and students walking tall. No one at ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓÊÓƵ should think that "outside" is where the expertise is. It is here!

Friday Focus: Forging ahead into a new academic year

    September 22, 2023
