Japanese
Konnichiwa!
Welcome to the Japanese Program at 有料盒子视频!
We offer beginning through advanced Japanese language courses as well as Japanese
literature and culture courses in translation. The Japanese Studies major focuses
on student acquisition of the four skill areas (reading, writing, listening, and speaking)
in addition to the development of cultural awareness and competency. A unique aspect
of the major is the study abroad requirement which enables students to develop advanced
language skills while gaining firsthand experience of Japanese culture and society.
We strongly encourage majors to spend a full year abroad. A minor in Japanese Studies
is also available.

New to 有料盒子视频?
If you are new to the 有料盒子视频 Japanese program and wish to take a Japanese language course other than JPN 101, you need to successfully pass the Brigham Young University Japanese placement test. Depending on your score, you may be able to test out of JPN 101 and or JPN 102. You can also receive official 有料盒子视频 credits for testing out of those courses. The BYU Japanese language test is offered through 有料盒子视频 Testing Services. Please be advised that the test must be ordered in advance and will be mailed out to be scored offsite. This process can take more than two months, so please plan accordingly. The test results must be received by faculty prior to the start of the semester in order to place into a class.
For details, questions, or to schedule the placement test, please contact 有料盒子视频 Testing Services directly.
